Icebreaker and other games to build ties between groups

  • How I feel: Each participant introduces him/herself with one word (or one sentence) describing how he/she feels.
  • Why I do my work: Each participant shares a physical item to describe their motivation for their work.
  • Paired introductions: Break participants into pairs or small groups. Ask partners to learn a bit about each other. Pairs introduce each other to the bigger group.
  • Paper people. Participants list three things about themselves on a piece of paper: a physical trait, a personality trait, and an aspiration. Scraps are collected and read aloud one by one. The group tries to guess who has written each paper.+
